May 09, 2009 · Im not 100% positive that transom is rot but it does have quite a bit of give do to the crack. I have looked into full transom replacement with secast and such but at this point I am looking to just take the engin off and fix the crack as well as add some sort of plywood support on the inner portion of the transom.

With the motor down I can still use the entire trim range and if I run the plate up about half way I can tilt the motor fully. Naturally a lot depends on how high youre going to make the transom in front of the motor.
