Re: Cisco 9124e and McData 6140 (ED-140M) First of all I'd upgrade the MDS to at least SAN-OS 3.3(2) or NX-OS 4.1(1b) because of the infamous 497 day reboot bug. Furthermore AFAIK you need to set the interop mode on the MDS.

Feb 06, 2016 · if I remember correct, the 2027-140 is Old McDATA 6140 Enterprise Directors. The switch is long time end of life and end of support. dkosmac -->>There is a way to do it, but it involves obtaining the Boot PROM recovery password from your support (assuming you never had it).
