Jan 15, 2014 · I had this very problem after installing ME3. Even uninstalling PhysX and installing an earlier version didn't work. What did work for me was to completely uninstall PhysX and then go and run ME2. ME2 recognised that I had no PhysX at all on my computer and installed the 'right' version for it to run. I was able to play ME2 fine after that.

I don't know exactly where the physx setup can be found on the disc.So do not launch automatically your disc, but open it (right click and "open") and make a search on it with keywords "physx". If you find the setup, launch it (after you uninstalled the version of physx you had before).
