Dec 23, 2012 · OpenGL ES 3.0 was released in August alongside the OpenGL 4.3 update as the latest major industry-standard graphics API for embedded and mobile devices. Intel was quick to announce they wanted OpenGL ES 3.0 support in Mesa and were hoping to have official support for the spec in early 2013. This OpenGL ES update offers a lot of new features.

Mesa 12.0 is easily one of the biggest updates to this important open-source user-space OpenGL driver stack in quite some time and will offer much better support and features especially for Intel, Radeon, and NVIDIA open-source Linux desktop users/gamers.

What they do not tell you, but indirectly imply ("Some drivers don't support all the features required in OpenGL 3.3."), is that in the last official release of Mesa (10.0), GL 3.3 only works on Intel hardware. This is one of the joys of Intel's close involvement with the Mesa project.

and my system OpenGL support 2.1. BUT!
