Use of META tags with messed-up syntax, of course, increases the chance of such mishaps happening.

Drop down list would not refresh even if the html had changed using meta refresh tag. The problem was solved by removing the list name in the html during the refresh part of my page. It is a php script so I can do this but with straight html I do not see a way to fix the issue for others finding this a problem, FF should not do this.
