Thanks very much for creating MiniDLNA it is a great piece of work. MiniDLNA has recently taken over video and photo streaming duties (from Mediatomb) in my house :-) Would you consider adding playlist support to MiniDLNA such that .m3u and .pls files are imported during a scan.

Jan 31, 2011 · I just got my PS3 and last night aI installed minidlna, Its an incredible piece of software. I know that it supports playlist. How should I create one, how the paths to the music files should be ( absolute, relative ), how are the lists shown in the ps3 ? Can I put all the playlists in a directory for quick access ? Any help will be appreciated.

Oct 12, 2015 · the new VLC 3.0.0 nightly has support for SAT>IP. To be more specific: VLC 3.0.0 includes support for parsing UPnP XML announcements from SAT>IP servers with support for M3U filelists. Then I suggest to write a HowTo for mix minisatip+xupnp for VLC support. Moreover, I don't know if the VLC 3 will support RTSP transport or only HTTP transport.

MiniDLNA is now handling video exclusively. I’m very happy with the results but should MiniDLNA add .m3u/.pls play lists and Last.fm support I will switch everything to MiniDLNA. Update. Since writing this post MiniDLNA has added support for playlists. It still doesn’t support Last.fm scrobbling though.
