I don't see a point in having ASIO support in consumer player software, we don't need low latency that ASIO can provide. Also ASIO sdk has problems with GPL license. For bit-perfect playback WASAPI should suffice, and mpc-hc will be having new Internal Audio Renderer with reworked WASAPI support starting with the next nightly build.

I'd like to voice my support for ASIO support in MPC-HC. I have a Presonus FP-10. I can use Surround Sound in my ASIO-enabled applications, but for the WDM applications, they only seem to see 5 stereo devices (one seems to be a duplicate of outputs 1&2, for a total of 8 outputs).
