Thh bracket connects the DP at the lower end so there is not any unduced stress on the turbo flange which is prone to high temps and weld cracking. If using bracket the flexi does next to nothing. KO who developed the bracket doesn't use a flexi and never has a problem. jim

Jan 22, 2007 · I personally own this downpipe, and have it installed on my car. The reason that I like this downpipe over some of the others, is because it has a ceramic heat coating on it. And it comes with the support bracket. I would recommend this product.

Downpipe recommendations I'm tossing up between a few options 1) Buying a de-cat downpipe (Berk, KO, ATS racing) and having a B-pipe custom made/installed by a local shop, with an inbuilt cat. 2) Buying a catted downpipe (ebay XS Power is the only one I can find) and fitting myself 3) Full custom $$$ Given my struggle with seized and broken bolts so far, it's likely to end up at a shop either way.
