Apr 27, 2012 · Office 97 was release 12 years ago, subsequent releases such as Office 2000, 2002 have known compatibility issues under Windows 7, I am surprised about Office 97. Also, Microsoft does provide updates anymore for it and that could pose a risk. So I would suggest moving to a more recent release of the suite such as Office 2003 or 2007.
