"MSCDEX mounted subdirectory limited support" is a normal message when you mount a directory on your hard drive as a CD instead of mounting an actual CD-ROM drive. It will not prevent Daggerfall from installing. Make sure you're using DOSBox 0.73 and that you are following the Daggerfall install instructions TO THE LETTER.

Feb 10, 2013 · I'm trying to get Stonekeep working on DOSBox under Kubuntu 12.10. I can mount the hard drive where the installed files live, but when it comes to mounting the CD I'm running into issues. If I do mount e /media/label_of_cd -t cdrom I get MSCDEX: mounted subdirectory: limited support and the executable can't find the CD.

I've tried a ripped and cracked copy and it works fine. Just two issues, both related to the game and not to its emulation state: 1) The game asks for MSCDEX.EXE in memory or will not run.
