    Aug 20, 2010 · Will it natively support DDR3-1600? OC means overclock or overclocked. So, no it won't "natively" support 1600. You'll have to OC the memory controller to run the memory at 1600.

    I am not 100% up on overclocking with ddr3 but I am pretty sure it means - This board can support memory at these speeds but will require overclocking and all that it entails. Meaning screwing with voltages/speeds/timings and aftermarket cooling. Also yes, link the board.

    May 21, 2009 · Use the EVGA x58. My DDR3 ram runs at 1700mhz OC'd, and the board will support up to 2000mhz OC for RAM. EVGA x58 is more user friendly. And, if you buy a ddr3 1333mhz rated ram, it's more unlikely that you can overclock it up to 2000mhz, unless you buy the expensive low-timing rams or expensive stock 2000mhz rams.
