At one point the dvd light went out and the door wouldn't open. We contacted DELL technical support and we got the dvd drive to work. I'm not sure if the problem is with the dvd player (NEC DVD+RW ND-1100A) or the Fujifilm discs. Any suggestions? P.S. I will buy new dvds next week, DELL tech support suggested to get DVD-+RW

For some reason, my NEC DVD+RW ND-1100A quit working in my Dell PC. I downloaded the latest driver from NEC, but it failed to find the drive [letter]. I am running Windows XP Pro ver 5.1 sp 3. I cannot see the drive letter under "My Computer", should be D: Any help would be greatly appreciated

I tried to write DVD-R media in the NEC DVD+RW ND-1100A drive in my Dimension 4600 using the Sonic MyDVD software that came bundled with the computer, but it doesn't seem to be compatible because MyDVD says there is no media in the drive.
