The toolset supports netflow v1, v5/v7,v9,IPFIX and SFLOW. nfdump supports IPv4 as well as IPv6. Note: nfdump 1.6.18 not longer supports nfdump-1.5.x files. If you have nfdump-1.5.x please convert them before upgrading.

May 29, 2015 · The Splunk Add-on for NetFlow is based on the NFDUMP project. If you have NetFlow v10 data, see the Splunk Add-on for IPFIX. Sites using both NetFlow v5/v9 and IPFIX (v10) data may wish to use a combination of both add-ons, listening on different ports. This add-on must be installed on a Linux instance of Splunk Enterprise for data collection.
