Mar 30, 2018 · I have done this before to get iOS 11 support in Xcode 8 and that actually worked! When you have not installed Xcode 9.3, Xamarin complaints about missing device support, so I have a hunch that this might be a temporary solution. Device support files are stored in the Xcode bundle.
