    Although it's quite obvious from the docs that the url above references some quite linux-specific code, I tried to build the sources on Solaris with gcc. No success so far (duh) ;). The ability to mount a smb/cifs share would provide kind of an alternative but on that side it looks quite similiar (no smbfs support in the kernel).
