Jul 20, 2015 · To take advantage of UASP-enabled devices you will need to be running Windows 8 or newer, or Mac OS X 10.8 or newer. Some versions of Linux running kernel 2.6.3 and higher can take advantage of UASP, but it is limited to a very small set of supported hardware. Most USB 3.0 hard drive enclosures and docking stations support UASP.

Sep 01, 2015 · With native support, I thought that nothing could go wrong. Alas, every other part of the upgrade went great BUT for the UASP driver, which appears to be nonexistent. I checked device manager first and went under storage controllers and there is no UAS driver, for whatever reason.

Jan 23, 2016 · The Asmedia ASM1042 was the only chip for which Windows 7 support could be found and is now blacklisted by all OS due to chip bugs so Windows 7 does not support UASP. To get UASP you need 3 components. OS Support: Windows 8, Windows 10, Linux USB controller support: Any USB 2 or 3+ interface that doesn't have UASP blacklisted.
