Feb 21, 2006 · Hi, I am wondering if anybody there can explain how the fill_help_tables.sql file is supposed to work. I have done a build from source, (not a binary distribution) and in looking at the tables set up when the database was initialized, all the help related fields are empty.

I also re-ran the mysql_create_system_tables script but of course it did zilch as there is nothing in fill_help_tables.sql but a nice little message. When I ran the make for a binary distribution I hoped in vain it would work there but it also failed.

Feb 21, 2006 · As 97% of the tests passed I figure it should be ok. I am still trying to work out why the binlog is restarting a new file after 138 bytes all the time. It is weird. I have read over and over all I can find in the manual and as far as I can tell it should only restart when it reaches max size, at mysqld start and also at flush logs.
