Oct 11, 2010 · I'm also using Mac OS 10.7 (Lion) and installed "ntfs-3g-2010.10.2-macosx". Initially i was able to read the files from my external drive prior to the installation. Then after installing i always get a message that there are some missing files in the library.

So it looked like it was due to poor file system support in Mac OS X for NTFS. After hours of trying I was about to give up, but since I had just upgraded another Mac to 10.4, I finally gave it a try on that one, and -- lo and behold -- it worked like a charm!
