Nov 14, 2017 · Main problem with SLI afaik is that you don't get the speed ups for free with the driver. You need SLI profiles for the games you are playing and there simply aren't that much for Linux (I only know of SLI profiles for Doom3 and Serious Sam 3).

Jun 19, 2014 · Or maybe there's some X + OpenGL problem and there's no easy way to fix SLI in the driver? It's a pity nouveau is still in early development stage and has no SLI support at all(and also Maxwell GPUs are completely not supported), but it could catch up in some time if nvidia driver SLI support is not fixed. ID Tech Engine 5 on Windows uses OpenGL.

Jan 01, 2007 · SLI is supported fine under the Nvidia linux drivers and should work out of the box. I'm also One the users of NVidia SLI edition and works flawlessly. Only was a pain on the a$$ to make modifications on SUSE 10.1, but it worth every cent.

There is no performance gain to be had in running SLI under Linux. SLI requires game developers (or NVidia) to properly code SLI support into the game and no one has done that since Doom 3 for Linux.
