When I run the application it reports the followind ODBC error: "ODBC driver does not support dynasets". In researching this on the Web, it looks like everyone is told to recode their applications to not use dynasets. That seems like fixing the symptom and not the issue, however.

If the driver for your data source conforms to the Level 1 API set, you can still use both updateable and read-only snapshots and forward-only recordsets, but not dynasets.

Nov 14, 2015 · According to the developers of the application, they use dynasets for Access and MSSQL databases, but not for MySQL, so I assume the application simply probes the connection for functionality (I can't get access to the source code, unfortunately).

Jan 16, 2006 · I am running mysql on linux and trying to access and modify the database from Windows on a separate machine by using myodbc driver with odbc.....however it says that the odbc driver doesn't support dynasets!! .. does myodbc not support dynasets ? if not then how will I be able to modify the database ?? please help asap..
