Nov 15, 2001 · is not required to be supported by an ODBC driver to work with OLE DB Provider. Is there something screwwey with the OLE DB Provider specification? Anyone who has any background information that may be helpful to me would be my new best friend! I can implement a temporary hack on our drivers to get around this if I was sure what the problem really was.

I downloaded the driver "MySQL ODBC 5.1 Driver" and installed it using basic connection parameters (no advanced flags or SSL options configured). Then I linked up the provider "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers" with the driver. When I run the application it reports the followind ODBC error: "ODBC driver does not support dynasets".
