Mar 12, 2019 · Hi Hari, as Jon wrote, MicroStation is not developed as GIS product, so it (intentionally) support SHP import only, not export. I think you have to find a workaround like save your data to DGN V7 or other widely supported format and to convert them to SHP using another software.

Aug 12, 2013 · SharpMap is an easy to use library for working with GIS data. It comes with wrappers for OGR and GDAL. I recently had to work with DGN files. I thought I would share that experience by posting a simple C# wrapper for reading a Microstation DGN file (version 7) as SharpMap geometries. The example code below simply opens up a DGN file as an OGR data source.

Should Radian/Manifold Viewer be able to import Microstation files? I have tried the dgn import and it seems to fail the same way in Manifold 8 and Manifold viewer, I suspect it only supports v7. The help file for Radian suggests it supports dgn v8 via GDAL OGR but I cannot find how I would do that.
