Sep 19, 2013 · OpenDNS doesn't support DNSSEC, and prevents doing the validation yourself if you wanted to do so, by stripping required records before forwarding a response to you. If you need DNSSEC for specific zones (like, for publishing SSH host keys), you can configure BIND to forward queries to OpenDNS except for these zones.

OpenDNS' stance on this so far has been strange; it's a classic circular problem if one of the largest resolvers refuses to support DNSSEC because not enough people support it, when by failing to support it they're diminishing support for the feature!

Apr 03, 2019 · DNSSEC is a set of security extensions for DNS that provides the means for authenticating DNS records. Currently, Cisco Umbrella does not support DNSSEC. Any DNS lookup that is answered by Umbrella will strip DNSSEC-related data from the query.

Nov 29, 2017 · I changed the Primary Resolver to Cisco OpenDNS and the OpenDNS test site now works! :-) However DNSSEC now shows a cross so I guess it is not encrypted. :-(Some testing shows that only the DNSCrypt.* resolvers support DNSSEC.
