Currently, OpenLDAP PBKDF2 module only support PBKDF2-SHA1. The schema name is {PBKDF2}. Probably, it have compatibility with Python Passlib. I have roadmap for PBKDF2-SHA256 and PBKDF2-SHA512. but not implemented yet.

Jul 01, 2009 · This is due to OpenLDAP not explicitly enabling SHA-2 ciphers after calling SSLeay_add_ssl_algorithms(), which only enables some digest algorithms. As SHA-256 is becoming more common and as it is, in fact, mandated by TLS 1.2, I think OpenLDAP should support it.
