Introduction Welcome to our Unit. The Auckland Operational Support Unit, also known as the Auckland Volunteer Fire Brigade, was founded in 1933 and provides a true voluntary community service. Its members get no payment for expenses incurred and time spent at emergencies.

Cornwall has 2 Operational Support Vehicles (OSVs). They are based at St. Austell and Falmouth Community Fire Station. 4 specially trained wholetime and on-call firefighters operate these vehicles.. The OSV attends all fires with 4 or more Pumping Appliances in attendance. The OSV's primary role is to act as a main control point for breathing apparatus functions at a fire ground.
