The solutions above are actually incorrect in answer to the original posters question. All Dell OptiPlex desktops and mini-towers starting with the GX620 (ie 620, 745, 755, 760, 780, 790) come with dual monitor capabilities built into the system using the onboard Intel graphics.

Oct 02, 2010 · How do I know if my Graphics cards can support this? We just got a few new Dell Laptops/Desktops (Latitude Z/Optiplex 780) and we would like to run Dual monitors. The Optiplex's have DisplayPort and VGA outs, so I could just grab a converter for those and run VGA/DVI, but the Z's have only the DisplayPort.

I currently am recommending the Dell Optiplex 790 minitower. (This will work for the desktop configuration as well.) It took me a lot of time and multiple returns to figure out the best way to do dual monitor, triple monitor and quadruple monitor setups (two monitors, three monitors and four monitors).
