Jun 26, 2013 · From what I’ve seen, there are still plenty of people on Oracle 10g. It’s not officially supported by Oracle Premier Support anymore, and a small handful have purchased the Extended Support option for it. For whatever reason, there was a lot of angst around upgrading to the latest release this time around.

Jul 01, 2011 · Hi, has anyone experience with Extended Datatype Support (EDS) in STREAMS ? I tried to add a rolling upgrade of the tables oe.warenhouses and oe.customers to a running replication of the HR- and SCOTT-Schemen. The oracle document over EDS (readme-File) is miserable :-( !

Jan 27, 2017 · First, the extended support fee for 11.2.0.4 has been waived for another 18 months, taking it to the end of 2018 (start of 2019). This is really big for us as we have some projects which are gradually dying as we move to Oracle Cloud Apps and we don’t want to spend time upgrading them. This is going to save some money!

With some more details, Oracle have changed the End of Life (end of bug patching) and Extended Support (bug patching for customers ho pays an extra cost on support fees) for Oracle 11gR2 patch 11.2.0.4.
