Mar 03, 2008 · Oracle Support doesn't distinguish what you are trying to build with Oracle. So, you can get support for building your own ADO.NET Entity Provider with Oracle. Right now,.NET Framework 3.5 is still in beta. As such, it is not yet supported by Oracle. null

One form of LINQ, LINQ to Entities, allows querying of Entity Framework data sources. ODP.NET supports Entity Framework such that the Oracle database can participate in object-relational modeling and LINQ to Entities queries.

Just to make it clear: Entity Framework is more or less superset of LINQ to SQL and I don't doubt that there will be Oracle support (by Microsoft or by Oracle or by some 3rd party). The problem with EF is that it is unclear what exactly will it be like and when it will be delivered.

Nov 22, 2010 · Moreover DBLinq2007 project provides linq support for a wide variety of databases including Oracle. The longer Oracle waits sooner newer versions of Linq flavours and features will be released by Microsoft and Oracle have to run a race to catch up.
