Dec 19, 2013 · I have downloaded Oracle 11g R2 for Windows 64-bit from the official website and I would like to know if I can install it on Windows 8 Pro . Microsoft Does claim that Windows 8 is compatible with Oracle 11g R2 , but I would appreciate your feedback. Thanks in advance. Mandar

Mar 21, 2017 · Noticed from the link Oracle JDK 8 and JRE 8 Certified System Configurations Windows server 2016 was not mentioned in the supported Operating System list.. Also execution of the command System.getProperty("os.name") using JDK 1.8u121, returns "Windows NT (unknown)".. Is JDK 1.8 can be used for Windows 2016? If not are there any plans to support JDK on Windows Server 2016?
