Jan 30, 2015 · Re: [Solved] PAE on ATOM processor ? @geekus: While not all Atoms are created equal, I can verify that the PAE kernels work great on an N270 - one of the earliest Atoms. If your Atom is a true dual-core (not hyperthreaded like my N270), I would go for the amd64 kernel.

Nov 02, 2012 · IMHO it looks that the SL7V3 (Pentium M 765) has a CPUID 06D6h and, contrary to what Intel shows in the link I mentioned, doesn’t have NX/PAE support. The SL7SL (Pentium M 770) has CPUID 06D8h and NX/PAE support. I placed a Pentium M 715 in a Intel 915 chipset (where a M 770 has NX/PAE support) and it didn’t show NX/PAE.

Feb 07, 2017 · Hello, I've got a thin client (HP T5745) equipped with an Intel Atom N280. It looks like this 32Bit-CPU supports PAE (cat /proc/cpuinfo told so).

I also have an Acer Aspire One netbok with Atom N270 processor (thank you, Intel). I can confirm that, despite specifications, the Linux /proc/cpuinfo is correct, and Atom N270 is indeed a dual core, or almost dual core processor. Either that, or Hyperthreading is no longer what it used to be.Author: Bustaf

History. PAE was first implemented in the Intel Pentium Pro in 1995, although the accompanying chipsets usually lacked support for the required extra address bits.. PAE is supported by the Pentium Pro, Pentium II, Pentium III, and Pentium 4 processors. The first Pentium M family processors ("Banias") introduced in 2003 also support PAE; however, they do not show the PAE support flag in their ...
