Partial only means that some parts of the game can not be used with a controller. Nothing more, nothing less. Full Controller support means the whole game can be accessed with a controller, this includes all menus. It says nothing about which controller is supported.

Mar 04, 2017 · Partial controller support is for Big Picture mode. It just means you may need to switch to keyboard/mouse such as when you are configuring the game. I assume that they have a separate app to set the game's settings rather than in-game.

Mar 24, 2015 · That has nothing to do with controller support. Yes it does. The ability to exit the game and go directly back to steam with out anyopen windows with the controller is required for it to have full controller support. If it can't do that then its partial controller support.

partial support is like, you can play the game with a controller, but you'd need KB/M for the menu. Stuff like that. Example, Skyrim has partial controller support because when you launch the game, you have to use a mouse for the launcher, but once the game starts the controller is all you need.
