Nov 04, 2013 · Make sure the Xbox 360 controller is plugged in and connected to the PC before starting Battlefield 4 (or any Frostbite game for that matter). It seems to disable controller support if you launch the game without a controller plugged in.

Hi Guys, Just curious to see if anyone has gotten Battlefield 4 to work with the Shield. The beta detected my Shield controller with no problem, but the actual game doesn't see the controller. I've got a 360 controller plugged into my computer, and the game recognizes this just fine.

Ran into this poor support with Battlefield 3 which is why I held back on Battlefield 4 and I'm glad I did. If DICE can't be bothered to implement the same controller support that every other game I've purchased in 2012-2013, then I can't be bothered to buy their game.

r/battlefield_4: The Official Battlefield 4 Subreddit. I think it's possible, but Dice did a pretty half-assed job implementing it on PC, some of the GUI can only be used with a keyboard and/or mouse, and the hints on the screen show keyboard buttons instead of the xbox buttons.

May 20, 2014 · I have a white wired xbox 360 controller btw, But I could use a regular xbox controller perfectly, it's just when I get into the game (battlefield 4) it just doesn't work, and I can't assign any buttons either. It just doesn't register when I press the buttons.
