Pellet interprets SWRL using the DL-Safe Rules notion which means rules will be applied to only named individuals in the ontology. No additional atoms are needed in the rules to enforce DL-safety.

    The short answer is that Pellet supports SWRL rules. If you have an ontology that contains SWRL rules and ask Pellet to reason over it, it will take them into consideration.     Different reasoners have different level of support for rules. Pellet has the best support for SWRL rules. If you don't see Pellet listed in your Reasoner menu, install it (Open Files -> Preferences, select Plugins tab, press on "Check for downloads now" button, select and install Pellet)
