    Sep 11, 2014 · A bit late to the party, but the 1700/2100Mhz (AWS-4 or AWS Band 4) requires both the 1700Mhz and 2100Mhz frequencies to be used at the same time. The 1700Mhz is used for uplink while the 2100Mhz is used for downlink. So if a phone supports 1700Mhz, that does not necessarily mean it will work unless the phone supports AWS-4.
