May 20, 2010 · After much trying, a friend figured out a relatively easy way to upload PNG files to Picasa Web Albums without them turing into JPGs. For those who don't know, any sort of bulk uploading will not work, nor can you upload them from the Picasa program on your computer.

Granted, I am running old Ubuntu LTS 10.04, also issues with sound/ alsa - had to run winecfg & set sound manually or it crashed every time I tried the folder manager. (Sound hopelessly broken, going to have to downgrade to play games, but that is not relevant to Picasa)
