The PIX 501 does not support VLAN's, if you have to have 2 VLANS's, you could use a router. If you have a router in the network or lying about doing nothing, you can configure the router to be the routing device between the VLAN's.

vlans use 802.1x on the pix and the switch (the switch must support tagging (802.1x) note there is a secruity flax on the pixes and it is advised you do not use the default VLAN this means you will need to create three vlans and not use the first please see my config below where I have done this.
