By utilising yellow trinkets and pink wards in the early game as well as red trinkets when you have purchased a sight-stone you can effectively gain a visual information advantage over your opponent by placing and removing enemy wards.

Had a support last night refuse to buy a sigh stone. I see they had 5..... 5!!!!! wards placed the entire game with 0 control wards. As a mid laner I had 17 wards placed along with 2 control wards. Not going to pretend my ward placements were perfect ..... but at least I was trying.

Sep 11, 2010 · I've noticed myself though that while some players do place wards, they do not place them in good locations. I'm not a high elo player myself but I have come to a degree of understanding of wards being a former DoTA player myself. And so I have here a simple guide to placing vision wards. (If you're high elo you probably know this already)
