Joystick support and joystick mapping I have a Logitech Freedom 2.4 wireless joystick, and I really love flying in other gams - but I have huge problems with getting to flying in this game. First of all, I cannot find any profiles in the Logitech Gaming Software for this game.

Dec 25, 2012 · The only one that might have done okay - Joystick 2 Mouse, didnt even work in game. Xpader didnt work either... Seriously SoE wtf... Its not just the ESF, i thought rolling in a tank would be cool too but its impossible to be accurate. The proper accuracy of a mouse just roflstomps the 8 way twitchy exponential of the joystick they have in game.

Modern joysticks typically come with a billion customization options that will take you forever to get used to, and when you need to run around on the ground you'll have a giant joystick cluttering up your desk (unless you have a big desk).

Apr 16, 2012 · I have been playing Planetside since 2004 and I recall problems (at least till 2010 when i unsubbed) with external controllers; although there was support in game, the controllers would glitch and have problems. Just wanted to get everyone's two cents on the matter and if they think this will be an option in Planetside 2.

Planetside 2 has all of that, in addition to vertical thrust and analog throttle, which means that roll, pitch, and yaw are used in completely different ways that frankly aren't conducive to a joystick setup. A reverse maneuver, for example, is much harder to pull off with a joystick while being much easier to master on a keyboard/mouse.

Nov 23, 2012 · If you do use either button mapping or an external gamepad program and you find that its giving you the -/+ Z axis issues - (Press zoom and you dont fire) you can switch the game option from hold the button to toggle - this way you press the zoom button once and stay there - no other buttons to get in the way of fire.
