SMART-T is part of the multi-service Milstar Extremely High Frequency (EHF) and AEHF satellite programs. SMART-T provides range extension to the Army's current and future tactical communications networks. EHF SMART-T currently supports low and medium data rates up to 1Mbps and the AEHF SMART-T will support extended data rates up to 8Mbps.
