First PolyLearn Support email came in at 11:04 am. In individual emails, faculty were asked to manually change their courses visibility back to "Show", but with the Portal's 4 hour cache, students may not see the PolyLearn link for 4 hours. Instructions for instant access were provided about accessing PolyLearn via the PolyLearn Home link.

PolyLearn support help But, Canvas courses will not appear as a Button on the right - like PolyLearn. Students can access Canvas in the Left - Single Click menu .

You may not see the PolyLearn course link for 24-48 hours depending on the time line of the instructor's approval. PolyLearn only receives new enrollments once a day at 6am. If the approval occurred at 6:30am on Wednesday, PolyLearn will not have the information until 6am Thursday. The Portal also caches every 4 hours.

Most of your PolyLearn-Moodle content will migrate into Canvas, but your courses will need to be redesigned to fit the new LMS layout. The intuitive user interface and time-saving tools will help ease the transition. Support will be available to assist you with the redesign.

At Cal Poly, the primary learning management system (LMS) is the Blackboard course management system. ITS also supports Learning Objects for wikis and blogs and Respondus for quiz development. In addition, some faculty use unsupported tools to meet their teaching needs.
