Mar 07, 2005 · Darn, the Portaflash doesn't read ambient lighting. BUT my oh my is it ever accurate with incident! This was definitely the best deal ever... best $5 plus $3.10 shipping I ever spent! ^_^ I'd recommend this flash meter to anyone looking for one. Buy it new at Adorama for $105 or be like me and get luck with an auction.

Again, I have no experience of using 550s, sorry. 550s are discussed in this forum quite often so if you search back through previous messages you might find an answer - or try posting a new question.
