Feb 11, 2008 · Today I was attempting to install Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 on my Mac Pro, and when I tried to start the install, it said my computer was lacking CPU Extension SSE2. From my research, it seems like this is usually a Windows problem, do to the fact that I can find nothing regarding Macintosh with this problem. Mac Pro's have Intel Processors, correct?

Nov 28, 2008 · Pretty much any new computer you purchase today should support both SSE2 and SSE3 as SSE2 has been in effect since 2001 and SSE3 since 2004. Before you go updating your system, I would download CPU-Z from the link below and run it. It will give you detailed information on your CPU and should have field about halfway down called "Instructions".
