Simply adding -dontwarn android.support.v4.** solves the problem, but I'd like an more specific/elegant solution, than ignoring all problems on support.v4 package. Can anybody tell what rules should be added, so these classes/@interfaces are correctly processed by Proguard?

May 02, 2018 · I was using Firebase and React Native Camera. Then the app is crashing. After several hours of investigation, I found out that React Native Component <Switch> is the culprit. Then I had to downgrade to com.android.support:support-v4:26.0.1 in app/build.gradle as @AndreiCalazans suggested.. So, if anyone of you is facing the same problem, maybe this will help.

Jun 16, 2014 · However, i find in some other cases, even they use the class from support.v4, they still can be obfuscated. I search this issue in google only find how to solve it and no one explain why. More information for my case i use ADT(v22.6.2) and proguard 4.7, our project target is android-8, min is android-8 and max is android-19.
