Sep 04, 2009 · Doing a quick google on "PS1 widescreen games list" and its variants brings up very few results, with a few people listing things out, alongside other undetailed features like dolby surround, but no solid wiki-esque list. It seems to trigger automatically, though, unlike PS2 games, so I'm not sure what to think about this.

Jun 19, 2013 · Hey everyone, long time no talk eh? anyway, like you guys care about me. I just recently picked up Ghost in the Shell for the PS1 and I found out that there was a widescreen option for the game, to me this is actually great since I have tried it out on my PS3 and it looked GREAT!

Apr 03, 2015 · If a game doesn't support 16:9 and you enable 16:9 on the emulator it will stretch the image (like FF7 in the reddit post that you linked). There isn't a widescreen hack for ps1, atleast not for epsxe, because most ps1 games weren't designed to run in a 16:9 environment.

Sep 05, 2009 · I seem to remember widescreen TVs being far more prevalent in Europe back in the day - I still quite often see people with the impression that widescreen TVs are an HDTV innovation - so could that go some way to explaining the limited support for 16:9 in the 32/64-bit era?

Apr 17, 2007 · Hello guys. Recently I've been spending a lot of time looking for PSOne and Saturn games that support 16:9 displays on widescreen TVs. Basically, to set up a game to support widescreen, you have to check if the game supports widescreen in the options menu.
