Sep 15, 2002 · PS2 cannot support DD or proper DTS in game. There are a couple of games that use DTS but I think it is only 4.0 and not 5.1,SSX tricky is one such title I beleive.

Mar 13, 2002 · If you have a digital surround sound processor/amp, connect the PS2 by its optical out connection. This will, in theory, give you full Dolby Digital and DTS sound where available. However, I've only come across two games that use DTS in gameplay, and none that use Dolby Digital in anything other than FMV sequences.

Jun 14, 2005 · Dolby Digital 5.1 is just a scheme for encoding and compressing multichannel audio to send as a digital signal. Aside from simplified cable hookup, it's actually inferior to uncompressed analog 5.1 surround [ unless your soundcard has awful DACs on the output ]. So you should really be asking "what games offer 5-point surround instead of just stereo or 4-point?"
