There's no problem with WPA2 on the PS3. The only device that i'm aware of that didn't support it was the PSP-1000 series. The PSPGo does and the Vita does (own both) and of course the PS3 does, both Slim and 60gb Phat. My advice to you would be to reset the router, failing that, try accessing the router settings and setting a custom WPA2 key.

Can anyone please tell me if the PS3 also supports WPA2 I've had a look at the guide and I can see it supports WPA and WEP but thats all. Does anyone know what stadards the PS3 all sopports so I can set it up when I get in tonight.

Aug 17, 2013 · WPA2 is actually partially supported - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Go to "Network Settings", select Infrastructure Mode, then "Scan", select your SSID, then manually select the encryption type "WPA-PSK (AES)" and proceed to typing in your network key. If it works, lucky you. If it does not, you'll have to change your network settings and use WPA encryption for your network instead.

I am having a bad time with my PS3 which I've had for about 2 years, PS3 slim with 120GB HDD. I've ran across a problem with my WiFi connecting to it. My PS3 doesn't accept my WPA2 key, I've changed it to a new key then my PS3 successfully connected to it. After 5 minutes it then drops connection and says my WPA key is wrong which it isn't.

Jan 20, 2006 · This is the only thing holding me back from buying a PSP. The lack of 802.11g support. When I bought my wired/wireless router, I wasn’t needing wireless, and it came with g only. Now that I’m seriously considering wireless devices, I’m stuck with g. It would be awesome if Sony fixed this problem.
