Dec 05, 2011 · The reason I tried forcing DTS output in all games, was because I was playing the Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 demo, which is a regular Dolby Digital game, but I noticed in the credits sequences the DTS logo being displayed. I thought it was curious that DTS was being advertised in a normally Dolby Digital-default game.

Sep 16, 2013 · The simplest way to figure all of this out is to set your PS3 to Bitstream, pop in a Blu-ray disc, choose a Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD Master Audio audio track in the Blu-ray disc menu and watch what codec pops up on the front of your receiver when the video starts up.

May 19, 2018 · As for the question at hand, I don’t have the games to test, but usually DTS and Dolby output for games requires supported sound cards to compress the audio. This is a native feature on the PS3, and that’s why games support it there. PC games usually only output PCM.

Jun 27, 2018 · Most games have both DTS and Dolby Digital logos. But some games only has Dolby Digital logo on it (Eg: Call of Duty WW2). This is probably because such games support only Dolby. Usually I keep DTS (Bitstream) turned on in PS4 settings all the time, so my receiver gets a DTS stream.
