Pulseaudio packages are available, but not installed and used by default. Needs support in other packages so that PA support is properly set up using padsp, the alsa plugin and stuff. The Pulseaudio and hal packages in rawhide now have the necessary support to play well with fast user switching.

Jan 23, 2009 · Greetings from a Linux Workstation user. I use VMWare primarily to run Windows legacy apps, games and for other compatibility reasons. Request 1: Pulseaudio support. It would be REALY convenient if Workstation on Linux had Pulseaudio support. Workstation supports OSS audio but that standard is dying.
