Summary specification of the Q6600 is below. 1. It does not support Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology. 2. It supports Intel® Virtualization Technology.

Apr 01, 2009 · I have an nForce 680i SLi with an Intel Q6600 and I've noticed that whenever it crashes, it's while I'm streaming videos. And then when it displays these undesirable behaviors, it'll sometimes show that HYPER-THREADING is enabled during POST. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but Core 2 CPUs aren't supposed to have HT.

Jul 06, 2012 · I too have just realized that when i changed a setting in my bios it now says hyper threading capable cpu found. Hyper threading enabled. I know my Q6600 isn't suppose to support HT but i have increased performance now. Maybe intel just disabled HT …
