Jun 16, 2018 · That's all fine, but when I run Quake4, I go to setup the audio, and I can't select "Surround Sound" because it says, "Warning your sound card does not support OpenAL". Is there a fix for this, like an OpenAL to Dolby translator? I mean, if OpenAL is still a thing, how is it a top of the line gaming lap top doesn't support it? Thanks

Jan 15, 2006 · Strange I got the latest update from the creative site and the latest openal and Quake 4 still wont recognize it. Edit: I reinstalled Quake 4 + all of it's updates and even that didn't solve anything. Might do a format soon, that shud fix it, if not something is really... really f'ed up.
